- This is one beautiful city that most will never travel to because it is just off the typical tourists' path. However, it is a must because it provides such a welcoming atmosphere! The buildings are spectacular--rebuilt exactly how they were before being destroyed in the war. The food tastes amazing and it is very cheap. When coming to Gdansk, we stayed at the Q Hotel Grand Cru Gdańsk which is just off the Motlawa River. We highly recommend staying here as it is a great location to all the things in the city and the staff were friendly and nice!
