Here in Timisoara, we stayed about a 10 minute taxi ride away. It was really nice staying this far out because you really feel like a local, however, you have to take a taxi every time going into the center, there are no restaurants near, and its not that practical to stay outside of the center when visiting this place. Therefore, we highly recommend staying in the center or near the train station as this may alleviate any problems you may have when traveling here. Just don't repeat our same mistake!
